UK newspaper The Telegraph's online website has been 15 years in the making and still going. Do you think Telegraph is going anywhere, if print were to become non-existant tomorrow?
The Telegraph is one of the best news publications out there on the web, not only in terms of style and layout and ease of navigation, but most importantly content.
I don't live in the UK. I've never even been there. I'm all the way over here across the pond and it's more enjoyable to read this than it is to even read a regular ol' print version of a Winnipeg broadsheet.

Graham,
Agree fully with your observation. The UK Telegraph was one of the first sites that I ever bookmarked on my old computer. A mainstay of mine, it is a prime example of how a 'newspaper' site should be run on the internet. Of course, any attempt to draw parallels between the Freep and Telegraph are fraught with danger because what the forlorn tall-foreheads at the Freep fail to realize is that its all about the quality of content baby... and on this front they are simply lacking!
Hmm, wasn't there a movie once that said "if you build it they will come"? About time the Freep started to take this to heart and seriously re-think its quality - ad capacity will follow.
I love the Telegraph--and not just for their great website.
